Norwegian death metal band Enslaved rolled into Hollywood last night in opening the show at Avalon for Opeth. Enslaved rocked through a very powerful 45 minute set of crowd favorites which definitely warmed up the Avalon crowd in anticipation of Opeth. Supporting their 2008 album "Vertebrae" the band pounded out hit after hit. The demonic vocals of Grutle Kjellson filled the hall, as Cato Bekkevold pounded out the numbers on drums, breaking several sticks in the process. Bekkevold commented after the show on how he may have broke a finger during the show.
